Normally, research is about reflection-on one’s lived, assumed, substantive conceptual/theoretical controversies amongst subject matter authorities, and gaps in their assertions. Interest is in testing statistical significancy of disconfirmations and/or confirmations thereof; to advance one’s depth in grounding in historical conditions. Thus, adequacy of the research results is conditioned on reliability of the tool used; and validity and accuracy of measurements of what is supposed to constitute solving problem puzzles to trigger a particular
goal frame.
However, the backward-looking nature of the research methods, talks to the stable times when they were conceptualised. Equally, a focus on statistical significancy of results does not mean that, necessarily, they are consistent to denote being strategically important and theoretically relevant. Today’s volatile times require research methods that are anchored by reflection-in-action: the multilevel and multidimensional critical analysis, synthesis and evaluation of cyclical, reflective, conversations with, supposedly, material patterns of emergent categories and concepts of a citizenry attitude to, and understandings of the nature of relative real-life reality.
The sacrifice of contextual good ideas, in everything, for great ones, bolsters and broadens the base for reducing conceptual uncertainties and goal conflicts. Thus, enduring behavioural influences of strategic, contextual, co-determination of a world of inclusive self-actualizing societal conscience are defined by credible, transferable, dependable and confirmable, strategically and theoretically important, emergent
societal behavioural patterns that are generalisable in impacting ecological integrity of a citizenry life cycle behaviour across persons, settings and time. It scales up adoption to, consistently, the citizenry material
assumptions underlying pursuit of, sustainably, substantive higher purpose: the one big idea of what is of value in life, in the respective fluid meanings and definitions of imaginative states of a world of self-actualization societal integrity that satisfies, continuously, need to belong.
The deinstitutionalisation of politicisation of the citizenry relative appreciations of need to belong, in their unequally distributed, interacting, moving target cultural and psychological conditions; converges, credibly, shared control of the agenda for furthering maintenance of, consistently, sustainable citizenry, respective, positive self-identities and institutional identity. It embodies an idea of a just and fair society, and the basic institutions protecting it, in surprises; which provides a benchmark for re-examination of the strategic importance of one’s lived, 11
assumed, substantive conceptual/theoretical controversies amongst subject matter authorities, and gaps in their assertions. In all this, the constraint is the quality of the design of the interactive processes for
framing and reframing logic, emotions and relative power, politics and interests in the daily realities of sporadic environmental state changes that dictate a type of solution to be found.
Consequently, at the Critical Leadership Academy, we facilitate individuals to master designing interactive, non-prepositional, processes of exploring strategically important, invaluable, relationships in all possible environmental states of, optimal, more just and fair society in worlds of influencing core values; and evaluating insights into the citizenry active constructions of aspirational behaviour. The intention is to transform societal integrity political relations into distinct, sustainable, societal functioning identity and citizenry self identities.
